Live Alerts

What Are Live Alerts?

Live Alerts notify your staff instantly when a customer at your venue needs help. When a customer reports an issue (via QR scan or the app), your team is alerted via Slack so they can respond immediately.

How It Works

  1. Customer scans QR code at their table or location

  2. Customer reports an issue — describes the problem, selects severity

  3. Alert fires instantly — Slack message arrives with details

  4. Staff responds — clicks the link in the alert to view and resolve

  5. Status updates — team gets notified when the alert is acknowledged or resolved

What's Included in an Alert

Each alert contains:

  • Severity Level — High (red), Medium (yellow), or Low (green)

  • Customer Name — If provided

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I send alerts to multiple Slack channels? A: Currently one webhook URL per location. Use a shared channel for the whole team.

Q: What if my Slack webhook stops working? A: You'll see delivery errors in your alert history. Re-create the webhook in Slack and update the URL.

Q: Do alerts work outside business hours? A: Yes, alerts fire whenever a customer submits one. Consider Slack's notification settings to manage off-hours noise.
